WHAT DOES SERVICES SETA DO?
The primary function of Services SETA is to facilitate skills development by establishing learning programmes such as learnerships, skills programmes, internships and other strategic learning initiatives. This is done through the disbursement of grants to employers and training providers. Services SETA are also tasked with monitoring the quality of occupation-based training within the services sector scope as delegated by the Quality Council for Trades and Occupations (QCTO).
HOW DO THEY DO IT?
The Services SETA bridges the gap between the formal education and training system and the workplace by facilitating and funding learning programmes that build skills-set required by industries (the world of work). To achieve this, the Services SETA works in partnership with public and private learning institutions such as Kwano Consulting to deliver the training on its behalf.
